A response to the contraversial words of Pope Francis Jorge Mario Bergoglio

In an article entitled “Church is essential for faith; there are no ‘free agents,’ pope says”, by Cindy Wooden of Catholic News Service, published on Jun. 25, 2014, words quoted from the pope contradict the Word of God. In this response, some words of the pope which are quoted in the article published by NCR will be addressed. The article is included in it’s entirety herein.

The Lord made sure we have the scripture as a foundation we could depend on.

Hear the Psalmist:

(Ps 119:103 [AKJV]) How sweet are your words to my taste! yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

(Ps 119:104 [AKJV]) Through your precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

(Ps 119:105 [AKJV]) Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

If Satan can keep you from the Word of God or if he can cause you to depart from it, he can take your soul. Many say they believe in Jesus Christ and that is ok with this pope, as long as you follow him first and not Christ. When we have a leader who knows the Word of God but who evades, avoids, and contradicts the Word of God, you can be sure he is an agent of Satan. This man, Pope Francis Jorge Mario Bergoglio, not only seeks to distract you from the bible, but from the pre-eminence of Christ. This pope has exalted his word above the Word of God.

Below, we will see how this pope, opposes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Apostles Paul, the Apostle Peter, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Critiquing the words of the pope quoted in the article below could give rise to an entire book. However, this response, will primarily focus on four essentials with some other points included in light of these.

There are Fundamental Essentials of true faith and life in Jesus Christ being attacked by this pope in the words quoted in this article. We will focus on four of them as follows:

> Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and He has no delegates for that position! Period!;

> The Church is the body of Christ and Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church;

> No one but no one can be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ without being born again;

> Salvation, Redemption, Begetting us to a living hope, is God’s work not man’s.

The Pope is Lying to you! According to the words in this article, the Pope is a lying heretic and an enemy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you follow this man or anyone who says the things pointed out in this article, you are being led to hell.

Hear the Words of Jesus Christ.

(Luke 6:39 [AKJV]) And he spoke a parable to them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

It is difficult to know where to start here. First, lets see the article.

BEGIN ARTICLE:

VATICAN CITY – Christians are not made in a laboratory, but in a community called the church, Pope Francis said.

At his weekly general audience Wednesday, Pope Francis continued his series of audience talks about the church, telling an estimated 33,000 people that there is no such thing as “do-it-yourself” Christians or “free agents” when it comes to faith.

Every Christian, he said, can trace his or her faith back to parents, grandparents, teachers or friends. “I always remember the nun who taught me catechism. I know she’s in heaven because she was a holy woman,” he said.

In the Old Testament, the pope said, God called Abraham and began to form a people that would become a blessing for the world. “With great patience — and God has a lot of it — he prepared the people of the ancient covenant and in Jesus Christ constituted them as a sign and instrument of the union of humanity with God and unity with one another.”

Pope Francis described as “dangerous” the temptation to believe that one can have “a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church.”

Obviously, he said, it is not always easy to walk the path of faith with other people. “Sometimes it’s tiring. It can happen that a brother or sister creates problems for us or scandalizes us, but the Lord entrusted his message of salvation to human beings, to us, to witnesses,” he said.

“It is through our brothers and sisters with their gifts and their limits,” the pope said, “that he comes to us and makes himself known. This is what belonging to the church means. Remember: Being Christian means belonging to the church. If your first name is Christian, your last name is Member of the Church.”

At the end of his talk, the pope asked people to join him in praying that they would never “give into the temptation of thinking you can do without others, without the church, that you can save yourself, of thinking you can be a laboratory Christian.” Christians, he said, are not manufactured in isolation, but belong to a long line of believers who handed on the faith and challenged one another to live it fully.

The audience was the last the pope was scheduled to hold before beginning a reduced summer schedule.

First let’s establish who is reporting this.

The Article is published by the National Catholic Reporter (NCR). Here is their “About” blurb from their website.

“Established in 1964, the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) began as a newspaper and is now a print and Web news source that stands as one of the few independent journalistic outlets for Catholics and others who struggle with the complex moral and societal issues of the day.

Let us now focus on four Fundamental Essential truths which this pope has trampled over and which he is seeking to hide from you and to overturn in his campaign of lies.

There are Fundamental Essentials being attacked; here are four of them:

> Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and he has no delegates for that position! Period!;

> The Church is the body of Christ and Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church;

> No one but no one can be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ without being born again;

> Salvation, Redemption, Begetting us to a living hope, is God’s work not man’s.

Lets look at some scripture. Commentary after select verses will be included.

(Col 1:12 [AKJV])Giving thanks to the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

(Col 1:13 [AKJV])Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Explicitly here, the Apostle Paul makes it unmistakably known that the Father saves us. He says it is the “Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light“. This is in direct opposition to the pope’s not so subtle implications that we can’t be saved unless we join the church.

It is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ  “who has delivered us from darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son“, the Lord Jesus Christ. The pope wants it to be the “mother church“. (Link to Vatican II.) Why do you think the Catholic Church needs 175,564 words in 16 documents when we have the bible and the Spirit of God?  Maybe to compete with these truths?

(John 14:26 [AKJV/PCE]) But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

(1John 2:20 [AKJV/PCE]) But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

(1John 2:26 [AKJV/PCE]) These [things] have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

(1John 2:27 [AKJV/PCE]) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

My friends, believe the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles. We do not need a usurper to tell us what the bible means. We need a sincere heart and a bible with faith in Jesus Christ that he will teach us by His Spirit as He promised.

We do learn from one another, that is why God places teachers in the body of Christ as shown in Ephesians 4:11-16. However, when an organization or an individual decides what you will think and presents such a massive body of material as Vatican II, 175,564 word in 16 documents, which would take a PHD in 7 fields to interpret, (that’s the idea, let the priests tell you what to think), they seek to dominate your time and energy and to be “the one” you are depending on rather than the bible and the Spirit of the Living God. Essentially, you end up worshiping the creation, (man) instead of the creator. (Not to mention the idols they have in so many Catholic Churches, but that’s another topic.)

This is a blatant usurpation of the preeminence of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Once he has you lassoed into his idea of “the Church”, you will see how that the “Mother of God” replaces the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Col 1:14 [AKJV])In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Redemption is in the blood of Jesus Christ, not the Catholic Church of apostate men. The forgiveness of sins is in the blood of Jesus Christ, not in the Catholic Church of Apostate men. Why do they not tell you this? Maybe they don’t want you to know! They want your allegiance to belong to them and not to Jesus Christ.

(Col 1:15 [AKJV])Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

(Col 1:16 [AKJV])For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

(Col 1:17 [AKJV])And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

All things were created by Him and for Him. Jesus Christ is preeminent. It is explicit. Those like this pope who focus you on other things, like man’s Church, various works, sacraments, etc. . .  are apostate liars who seek to bring your soul down into the depths of an eternal hell. This pope is pointing to the Church of man and not to Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul spoke the truth, “he is before all things“. Jesus Christ is preeminent, not a pope, not a Church, not membership to or belonging to a Church. Just Jesus Christ. For a pope to make himself or any other thing preeminent is to be “other than” Christ. “Other than” Christ is “Antichrist”. Ask yourself why a pope would not emphasize the same things that the Apostles emphasized?

(Col 1:18 [AKJV])And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Here, in vs 18, Paul explicitly gives the definition for the Church, “And he is the head of the body, the church“. The “he” here is Jesus Christ as clearly established in verse 13, and He,  “has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son“.  His dear son is Jesus Christ. “Has Translated us into . . .”. It’s done, He did it, He does it, He alone. Paul says he, [Jesus Christ] is the head of the Church and that He has preeminence. Any true servant of God will preach this and not preach any message to contradict or diminish this Fundamental Essential truth.

(Col 1:19 [AKJV])For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

(Col 1:20 [AKJV])And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

(Col 1:21 [AKJV])And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled

(Col 1:22 [AKJV])In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and unreproveable in his sight:

(Col 1:23 [AKJV])If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Paul makes it emphatically clear here that Jesus Christ has “made peace by the blood of His cross” and He has reconciled us to Himself and He alone can and will “present you holy and blameless and unreproveable in his sight”, if you are His. The condition Paul gives is that we continue. Continue in what?  “… continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister”.   “…be not moved away from the hope of the gospel“. The pope says it is the Church, the pope’s Church. The pope is lying to you. Salvation is God’s work not man’s. In this entire passage, Paul says nothing of the “mediation” of the Church. Why would the pope say it? What does the bible say about a mediator? Why do you think the pope avoids the scripture?

Let’s look at what the scripture says about a mediator.

(1Tim 2:5 [AKJV]) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

(1Tim 2:6 [AKJV]) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

(1Tim 2:7 [AKJV]) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

Paul doesn’t preach Church, he preaches Jesus Christ. This pope wants you to believe that the Church is the mediator. His definition of the Church of course is the “mother Church” and not the Church that Jesus Christ builds. The Apostle Paul has made it clear that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between man and God. We have access through Jesus Christ, not through a Church.

(Eph 2:10 [AKJV/PCE])
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

(Eph 2:11 [AKJV/PCE])
Wherefore remember, that ye [being] in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

(Eph 2:12 [AKJV/PCE])
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

(Eph 2:13 [AKJV/PCE])
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

(Eph 2:14 [AKJV/PCE])
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us];

(Eph 2:15 [AKJV/PCE])
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace;

(Eph 2:16 [AKJV/PCE])
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

(Eph 2:17 [AKJV/PCE])
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

(Eph 2:18 [AKJV/PCE])
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Again, it is so clear that we are: the workmanship of Jesus Christ; made near to God by the cross of Jesus Christ; placed into one body by the cross; and through Jesus Christ we have access to the Father by the Spirit of God. The only time Paul mentions Church here is as he explains that both Jew and Gentile are now one body, one new man and that it has been accomplished by the blood and the cross of Jesus Christ.

When you come to know Jesus Christ, when you are born again, when you are apprehended by Jesus Christ, when you meet Him, then and only then are you a member of the Church that Jesus Christ builds. We, as servants of the most high God are calling sinners to Jesus Christ, not to a Church. Once we are born again, then we are part of the Church, then we may enjoy fellowship in Christ with one another. Remember, the body is the Church and the head of the Church is Jesus Christ and the only way to be part of the body is by Jesus Christ. The pope turns this upside down making the Church the way to Christ! Making the Church the way to salvation, making the Church preeminent over Christ and know this, the pope’s Church is not the Church that Jesus Christ builds!

(Eph 3:10 [Wesley]) That the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in heavenly places,

(Eph 3:11 [Wesley]) According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord,

(Eph 3:12 [Wesley]) By whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him.

The Church, the one true Church which Jesus Christ builds, makes known the manifold wisdom of God, it is not the mediator, Jesus Christ is the mediator. “By whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him.” Paul preaches Jesus Christ. The pope preaches the Church and don’t be fooled, the pope’s Church and the Church Jesus Christ builds are not the same! The pope is preaching the Mother!

In another article, entitled, “Pope begins new Catechesis on the role of the Church 2014-06-18″ published by Rome Reports, the pope is quoted, “Today begins a new cycle of catecheses devoted to the Church. The Church is not simply an institution but a mother, a family, a mystery which is meant to embrace the whole human race.”

(“meant to embrace the whole human race” ?? That’s another topic in and of itself!)  Mother? Mystery? Sound familiar? “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Rev 17:5

(Rom 5:1 [AKJV]) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

(Rom 5:2 [AKJV]) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Again Paul makes it clear that we have access to this grace through Jesus Christ, not a Church. This pope is leading people to believe that salvation is only possible by first becoming a member of the Church, the pope’s Church. The truth is one can only become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ by being born again of the Father by Jesus Christ. This will be shown in scripture herein. The pope is leading people to their doom, by changing the definition of what the Church is and by changing how it is that one must be saved. He is lying with the lips of Satan.

What does the Apostle Peter have to say about how we are saved?

(1Pet 1:3 [AKJV]) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Who begets? The father. Salvation is God’s work, not man’s, not the Church. How does the Father beget us? “by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”, not through men, not through succession, not by joining the pope’s Church. The pope says we have to be a member of the Church. Why do you think the pope would say you have to join the Church to be saved when the Apostle Peter says the father saves us through Jesus Christ?

(1Pet 1:4 [AKJV]) To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,

(1Pet 1:5 [AKJV]) Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

The power of God saves us, the power of God keeps us through faith in Jesus Christ. It is the Word of God as revealed explicitly in the scriptures which this man, Pope Francis Jorge Mario Bergoglio, knows but strategically avoids. That begs a question in and of itself; doesn’t it? Why would he avoid the bible? For the same reason he never preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is seeking something else and it is not your salvation.

Pope Quote, “Pope Francis described as “dangerous” the temptation to believe that one can have “a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church.”” He also said, “there are no such thing as “do-it-yourself” Christians or “free agents” when it comes to faith.”

Let me put that in other words for you. You are illegitimate if you met Jesus Christ without the help of man or without the Catholic Church. The pope is saying you can’t be saved, you can’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ except within his parameters. He is deciding how God does His work. The pope here is pompously prohibiting God from directly initiating a relationship with you. Pay attention to the words “direct”, “immediate” and “mediation”. The pope is telling you that the Church, his Church, is the mediator between you and Jesus Christ and he is prohibiting any direct relationship with Jesus Christ. Like a mafia boss, he is saying, that you have to go through his people, which means, you have to go through him!

But what did Jesus Christ say? (John 14:21 [AKJV]) He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

This pope is opposing Jesus Christ!  This pope is opposing the Word of God! This pope is opposing the Apostles!

“Pope Francis described as “dangerous” the temptation to believe that one can have “a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church.””

The very thing that is necessary to be saved, to know Jesus Christ, this pope is opposing!

Lets look at it.

(John 6:44 [AKJV/PCE]) No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

The pope would have you believe that no one comes to Jesus except through the pope’s ways, as he said, “without communion with and the mediation of the church”.

(John 6:45 [AKJV/PCE]) It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Jesus says those who hear and learn from the Father come to Him. Why do you think the pope doesn’t tell you that? Why do you think the pope has imposed some “other way”?

(John 6:46 [AKJV/PCE]) Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. (John 6:47 [AKJV/PCE]) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Jesus said, “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life“.

Pope Quote, “It is through our brothers and sisters with their gifts and their limits,” the pope said, “that he comes to us and makes himself known.

But that’s not what Jesus said. That’s not what the bible says. Let’s take a look at what Jesus says in the bible.

(Matt 16:13 [AKJV]) When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

This is the main thing; who is Jesus Christ? Knowing Jesus Christ is the point of this passage. Knowing Him personally and directly.

(Matt 16:14 [AKJV]) And they said, Some say that you are John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

(Matt 16:15 [AKJV]) He said to them, But whom say you that I am?

Jesus doesn’t want to know what others say. He wants to know what you say. Who do you say He is? What others tell you is not good enough! He is calling on you to give an answer. Who do you say He is? Do you know who He is? Do you know Him personally?

(Matt 16:16 [AKJV]) And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

(Matt 16:17 [AKJV]) And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in heaven.

(((((flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in heaven.)))))

Peter answers with the truth! How did he know? What did Jesus say in John 6:45?

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”

Peter heard from God. Directly. This isn’t just for Peter, it is for ALL. “And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me“.

Jesus told Peter that the Father revealed this to him. That’s the only way anyone can know who Jesus Christ is. That’s what the pope is opposing! ” This pope is saying the exact opposite!

“It is through our brothers and sisters with their gifts and their limits,” the pope said, “that he comes to us and makes himself known.””dangerous” the temptation to believe that one can have “a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church.”

But Jesus said, flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in heaven.” Again, let me remind you. The pope says the Church is the Mother. He is replacing the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven!

(Matt 16:18 [AKJV]) And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Jesus Christ builds His Church on those who hear from the father. The pope builds his Church on those who hear him! Whose Church is it? Jesus Christ’s or the pope’s?. Who builds it? Jesus Christ or the pope?. Which one are you in?

(Ps 127:1 [AKJV]) Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.

Interesting how the pope is opposing this passage and these words of Jesus Christ. This is a key point of scripture twisting in Catholicism. Not only would the pope have you not hear God for yourself but through men only, not only does the pope have his own definition of the Church, but he also says you can only be in the faith through succession and that idea stems from their twisting of this very passage.

Pope quote, “Christians, he said, are not manufactured in isolation, but belong to a long line of believers who handed on the faith and challenged one another to live it fully”.

This is the doctrine of succession. They want everything centered in the Catholic Church. So they teach that Peter was the first pope. All other popes, they say, are in succession from Peter. They call it “Legitimate Apostolic Succession” and they try to make your salvation, your relationship with God, bound to their lying apostasy. How do they twist this scripture to support their Legitimate Apostolic Succession lying apostasy? Two Words, “Peter” and Rock” out of verse 18, “And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” They say Peter is the rock on which Jesus Christ builds His Church in this passage. First of all that is a half truth and half truths, unfortunately contain complete lies.

We already have seen that the Church is the body of Christ which is made up of born again believers in Jesus Christ. We also saw that we have access through Jesus Christ to the father by the Spirit. Let’s look at another Ephesians passage to see about the Church and what it is built on, then we will look at those two words, “Peter” and “Rock”.

Words in [these brackets] are added to to represent the context established in the greater text. You can verify this for yourself by reading it in it’s entirety by clicking here

(Eph 2:18 [AKJV/PCE])
For through him [Jesus Christ] we both [Jews and gentiles] have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

(Eph 2:19 [AKJV/PCE]) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

(Eph 2:20 [AKJV/PCE]) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone];

(Eph 2:21 [AKJV/PCE]) In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

(Eph 2:22 [AKJV/PCE]) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

As we can see, this is completely opposite of what the pope is saying in the article. This passage shows us that we have access to the Father through Christ, by the Spirit. As a result we are being built, (by Jesus Christ as shown in Matthew 16:18), on the foundation of Apostles, (plural) and prophets, not just on Peter. We grow into a holy temple in the Lord as a result of knowing Jesus Christ and hearing the Father.

The pope is trying to destroy this understanding. He wants you to do the opposite. He wants you to become a member of the Church, to hear God through men and believe that he is the preeminent head of the Church and the one and only legitimate apostolic successor of Peter who they say is the first pope. Who does the opposite of God?  Who opposes Jesus Christ? Satan. Antichrist. That’s who.

Now lets look at Matthew 16:18 again and see what the root words for “Peter” and “Rock” really are.

(Matt 16:18 [AKJV]) And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

1) Peter from the Mickelson’s Enhanced Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries

G4074 Πέτρος Petros (pet’-ros) n/p.

1. a (piece of) rock

2. as a name, Petrus, an apostle

KJV: Peter, rock

2) Rock from the Mickelson’s Enhanced Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries

G4073 πέτρα petra (pet’-ra) n.

1. a (mass of) rock

KJV: rock

(Matt 16:18 [AKJV]) And I say also to you, That you are Peter (a piece of rock) , and on this rock, (a mass of rock)  I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

So, when Jesus said, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also to you, That you are Peter (a piece of rock) , and on this rock, (a mass of rock)  I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it’, he was saying that Peter is a piece of rock and on this mass of rock of revelation from the Father, on this rock of hearing from the Father He will build His Church. Peter understood this and we should too.

(1Pet 2:1 [AKJV]) Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,

(1Pet 2:2 [AKJV]) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:

Here we have Peter who the pope says is the first pope saying that we grow by the WORD OF GOD. Peter like all true servants and Apostles of Jesus Christ point to Jesus Christ and the Bible. The pope points to the Church and the Vatican II documents and his own catechesis of opposite doctrine.

(1Pet 2:3 [AKJV]) If so be you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

(1Pet 2:4 [AKJV]) To whom coming, as to a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

(1Pet 2:5 [AKJV]) You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

(1Pet 2:6 [AKJV]) Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.

(1Pet 2:7 [AKJV]) To you therefore which believe he is precious: but to them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

(1Pet 2:8 [AKJV]) And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

(1Pet 2:9 [AKJV]) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

Jesus is saying, Peter! You hear my Father and you say what He says! Therefore even as I am the rock, so you too are a piece of that rock with which I will build my church. Now, Peter is telling you, that you too are a precious stone with which Jesus builds His temple!!

(John 14:23 [AKJV]) Jesus answered and said to him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.

Again here we see that Jesus and the Father will come and “make their abode with us as a result of loving Jesus and keeping His Words, not as a result of first joining the catholic Church or the “mother” who “embraces all humanity”. (((HIS WORDS – JESUS’ WORDS))) We must know HIS WORDS in order to recognize when the words of others like the words of Pope Francis, are opposing Him.

(John 14:24 [AKJV]) He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

“The words that you hear are not mine but the Father’s which sent me.”  This is what happened to Peter when He said, “you are the Christ, the son of the living God”, and when Jesus said, “blessed are you Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it to you but my Father which is in Heaven:”. This is the way it happens with all saints of Jesus Christ. This is who Jesus builds His Church with. Those who hear from the Father and say what the Father says.

(John 14:6 [AKJV]) Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

The pope says we can only come through our brothers and sisters and through the Church, since in his words, the the Lord only comes to us through other people.

Jesus Christ builds His Church on the rock of those who know Him as a result of the Father revealing Christ to them. Just as THE ROCK Jesus hears the Father and says what he hears from the Father, so too the true servants of Jesus Christ hear the Father and say what He says. These are those with and upon whom Jesus Christ builds His church. Sorry pope, that leaves you out.

(1Cor 3:9 [AKJV]) For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s husbandry, you are God’s building. (Church/Temple)

(1Cor 3:10 [AKJV]) According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.

(1Cor 3:11 [AKJV]) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Paul here is fulfilling the very words of Jesus which we have just seen, Paul had a direct revelation of Jesus Christ and Paul preached, pointed to and revealed Jesus Christ.  Paul also walked out the following words in John 17:18. This is our example, this is our pattern, this is our instruction, not the upside down and backwards words of pope Francis.

(John 17:18 [AKJV]) As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

We established above that the Father begets us. That means we are born again. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”(1Pet 1:3) That is how we can see and enter the kingdom of God, by being born again, by the Spirit; Peter also says we are born again by the Blood of Christ and the Word of God.

(John 3:3 [AKJV/PCE]) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

(John 3:4 [AKJV/PCE]) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

(John 3:5 [AKJV/PCE]) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

(John 3:6 [AKJV/PCE]) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

(John 3:7 [AKJV/PCE]) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

(John 3:8 [AKJV/PCE]) The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

We are not born again through the traditions of our Fathers, as in “handed on”, like the pope is saying. He is diverting your attention from the work of God and being born again, to his version of “the faith” which is a “handed on” tradition of the Catholic church fathers.

(1Pet 1:18 [AKJV/PCE]) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;

(1Pet 1:19 [AKJV/PCE]) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

(1Pet 1:20 [AKJV/PCE]) Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

(1Pet 1:21 [AKJV/PCE]) Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

(1Pet 1:22 [AKJV/PCE]) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

(1Pet 1:23 [AKJV/PCE]) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Notice too, Peter said “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren“? He said, “unto“.  “…purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren”.

Once we have been born again, we are automatically a member of the body of Christ which is the Church of which Jesus Christ is the only Head and which He builds. It is after we are born again that we are placed in the body, the Church. We become members of the body of Christ as a result of being born again. This pope wants you to believe that your way to God is through the Church but in truth, your way into the Church is by being born again. Your way into the Church is through Christ who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)   “Unless we are connected to the head, which is Christ, we can not be a part of the body of Christ, the Church. I hope that has been made clear in the volume of this response. A true servant of Jesus Christ points to Jesus Christ not to a Church. Many can join some kind of Church and never be joined to Christ, the head of the true Church. But no one can be joined to Christ the head of the true Church and not be joined to the Church. It is automatic, He does it. Saying we need to join the Church after we are born again is like saying “you are alive, now breath and make your heart beat”.

Notice how that the pope mentions Jesus Christ, and it is a “danger”?

“dangerous” the temptation to believe that one can have “a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church.”

In the overwhelming majority of the quotes, he says “faith”.

It is “Catholic Faith” verses Jesus Christ with this pope’s silky tones and smooth words of persuasion.

Pope Quote, “no such thing as “do-it-yourself” Christians or “free agents” when it comes to faith.”

As if when God saves you, it makes you a “do-it-yourself” Christian. We, as a matter of fact, are “free agents” or how else could we willingly pick up our cross daily and follow Jesus Christ? How else could we choose to love Jesus Christ and one another? Of course we are free agents. What does this pope want, unfree agents? Slaves?

What he really means is Jesus Christ can’t save you unless He does it through the mediation of the pope’s Church! This is a direct attack upon true born again saints of Jesus Christ. This my friends will be the seed that grows into full fledged persecution of the true saints of Jesus Christ, just like this so called Church has done so many times throughout it’s sordid history. This is a lasso, an attempt to rope you into a system designed to kill you spiritually. He is saying “come to me, come to the Mother and depart from your allegiance to Jesus Christ”.

He is saying if you are not Catholic, you are illegitimate. In Catholicism, faith more often refers to one’s relation to the Church, of the life of a Catholic, not primarily and foremost faith in Jesus Christ. The pope is preaching Church and succession here, not Jesus Christ. This is “another foundation”.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.“(1Cor 3:11)

Pope Quote, “Every Christian, he said, can trace his or her faith back to parents, grandparents, teachers or friends.”

Oh really? I can trace my “faith” in Jesus Christ back to a direct encounter with God in my living room! The pope goes on to Catholicize this by sharing his endearing memory of the nun who taught him.

Pope Quote, “Christians, he said, are not manufactured in isolation, but belong to a long line of believers who handed on the faith and challenged one another to live it fully.”

The pope’s “faith” is Catholicism and you are illegitimate in his eyes and in the eyes of Catholicism if one of them did not “hand on the faith” to you. This is succession. Catholic Succession. The pope is exalting belonging to the Church over knowing Jesus Christ. He is distinguishing between relationship with Christ and Catholic Faith. We do not unify around a pope. We unify around, through, by and in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our credentials. Jesus Christ is our legitimacy. Not “handed on” faith by the vain tradition of Catholic Church Fathers.

(1Pet 1:18 [AKJV/PCE]) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;

TWISTED EXAMPLE OF THE FAITH – USING ABRAHAM

Pope Quote, “In the Old Testament, the pope said, God called Abraham and began to form a people that would become a blessing for the world. “With great patience — and God has a lot of it — he prepared the people of the ancient covenant and in Jesus Christ constituted them as a sign and instrument of the union of humanity with God and unity with one another.“” (Some veiled humanistic ecumenical philosophy here maybe?)

Abraham heard directly from God. He is referred to as the father of our faith in the bible. He is the example of faith to us.

(Rom 4:11 [AKJV]) And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed to them also:

(Rom 4:12 [AKJV]) And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

(Rom 4:13 [AKJV]) For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

(Rom 4:14 [AKJV]) For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

(Rom 4:15 [AKJV]) Because the law works wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression

(Rom 4:16 [AKJV]) Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Paul is not agreeing with the pope here. What does the pope not want you to see? In his very use of Abraham as an example, he avoids the very example that Paul is setting forth here. Abraham heard from God, believed God, had righteousness imputed for his faith in God. We are not counted as righteous based on, nor are we dependent upon, the control of or membership to, the Catholic Church. The pope is making a law and telling you and me that we have to obey him rather than scripture, rather than the gospel, rather than the Apostles, rather than Jesus Christ.

Abraham was called out from, not into. So are we. Christ was sacrificed outside the camp and we go outside with Him, not into all humanity but “out of” and set apart.

(Heb 13:12 [AKJV])
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

(Heb 13:13 [AKJV])
Let us go forth therefore to him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

(Heb 13:14 [AKJV])
For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

This does not “embrace all humanity” as the pope is preaching.

(Rom 4:3 [AKJV]) For what said the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

Abraham heard directly from God, Isaac heard directly from God, Jacob Heard directly from God. How is it that this pope can use this example to say, that we now must only hear from God through others?

(Gal 3:6 [AKJV]) Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

The example is hearing from God and believing God. Remember what Jesus said?

(John 6:45 [AKJV]) It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes to me.

(John 6:46 [AKJV]) Not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of God, he has seen the Father.

(John 6:47 [AKJV]) Truly, truly, I say to you, He that believes on me has everlasting life.

The one thing that saves us is the one thing this pope says is dangerous; direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ. Think about what this man is saying. The Church must “mediate”.  “Immediate or Mediate”? I am not about to entrust my soul to the ‘mediation’ of the pope or his so called Church. It is Immediate for me.

“dangerous” the temptation to believe that one can have “a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church.”

(Matt 7:23 [AKJV]) And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

If we do not know Jesus directly, He does not know us in the sense of intimate person to person relationship which the pope says is dangerous. I am sure it is dangerous to the pope for us to truly know Jesus Christ.

PRAYER  For All Who Seek The Truth

(Eph 1:17 [AKJV/PCE])
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

(Eph 1:18 [AKJV/PCE])
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

(Eph 1:19 [AKJV/PCE])
And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

(Eph 1:20 [AKJV/PCE])
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],

(Eph 1:21 [AKJV/PCE])
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

(Eph 1:22 [AKJV/PCE])
And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,

(Eph 1:23 [AKJV/PCE])
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

THE GOSPEL

In case you have never heard the gospel preached let me close with an example from a true Apostle of Jesus Christ.

(Acts 3:12 [AKJV]) And when Peter saw it, he answered to the people, You men of Israel, why marvel you at this? or why look you so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

(Acts 3:13 [AKJV]) The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

(Acts 3:14 [AKJV]) But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted to you;

(Acts 3:15 [AKJV]) And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

(Acts 3:16 [AKJV]) And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

(Acts 3:17 [AKJV]) And now, brothers, I know that through ignorance you did it, as did also your rulers.

(Acts 3:18 [AKJV]) But those things, which God before had showed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he has so fulfilled.

(Acts 3:19 [AKJV]) Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

(Acts 3:20 [AKJV]) And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached to you:

(Acts 3:21 [AKJV]) Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

(Acts 3:22 [AKJV]) For Moses truly said to the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up to you of your brothers, like to me; him shall you hear in all things whatever he shall say to you.

(Acts 3:23 [AKJV]) And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

(Acts 3:24 [AKJV]) Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

(Acts 3:25 [AKJV]) You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in your seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

(Acts 3:26 [AKJV]) To you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

(Acts 4:8 [AKJV]) Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them, You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

(Acts 4:9 [AKJV]) If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the weak man, by what means he is made whole;

(Acts 4:10 [AKJV]) Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.

(Acts 4:11 [AKJV]) This is the stone which was set at nothing of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

(Acts 4:12 [AKJV]) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
